About the Position: The Grant Officer Position will provide service and professionalism to faculty, Colleges and business units in proposal submission and award management (non-financial) within an assigned portfolio. This position has a fully remote work option. Primary functions include:

  • Providing consultation and technical assistance to faculty and staff regarding obtaining and managing sponsored awards.
  • Assisting in preparation and review of proposals, reports and prior approval requests to external sponsors.
  • Understanding, interpreting, communicating, and applying regulations, terms and conditions, policies, and other specific and general guidelines in sponsored program administration.
  • Serving as a liaison between funding agencies and faculty and staff.
  • Protecting the institution by assuring that proposals and awards are in compliance with federal, state, agency and institution policies of grants and contracts, working closely with other administrative business units at the university.
  • Participate in and facilitate outreach efforts provided by the Division of Research and Economic Development and Office of Sponsored Programs.
