Hello, All,

I’m curious about how other institutions are reading the following FAQ from the NIH Other Support FAQ. In-Kind Section #8.

Are folks reading this to say that NIH wants to see effort that is paid by the institution and not by the grant in the In-Kind section?

If you have a different reading, I’m very interested in your interpretations.

This is from the NIH Other Support and Foreign Components FAQ - In-Kind Section #8.

“8. If a PD/PI has no effort on a project but does have salary support, should it be reported in the In-Kind section?

Yes.”
