At Marshall, the PIs have to go through the Pre-Award office, where only one of us has access to the individual payroll data.

Hi Folks,
Do your institutions allow grant PIs direct access to the individual payroll data for people on their grants for things like effort reporting and matching with their shadow systems?
Or do they have to ask another office (Finance, HR, etc.) to generate a payroll report for them?
