I spoke too soon! We just received an email response back from USDA with the below information in the event anyone else out there needs to know. Apparently, the RFA from last year that was for 2021 and 2022 is not appliable and a new RFA will be released.

The 2022 OREI RFA has not been released yet. It will include a new FUNDING OPPORTUNITY NUMBER and access to the application package.

The due date will also be extended to give applicants more time. Applicants will have at least one month to submit their applications.

Is anyone preparing to submit to the USDA OREI program that is due this Thursday, Jan. 13^th? It appears that the application has not been made available on grants.gov but we’ve not received or saw any public notice of an extended deadline. Hoping someone from our brain trust may have had some communication that we’re not aware of.
