If a computer/laptop is less than $5000, we treat it as Materials/supplies.
I do though have the PI, confirm that the computer/laptop will be used solely for the project.

I’m curious as to how other places are handling computer requests on grants. As most these days are less than $5000, are you still considering them equipment or a supply? What kind of documentation are you requiring allowing a computer
on a NIH grant and post-award for monitoring?
