(Biological Sciences Division), the largest Division at the University of
Chicago. BSD is the home of 10 basic science departments, 14 clinical science
departments, the Pritzker School of Medicine, Comprehensive Cancer Center, and multiple inter-disciplinary research-heavy centers and institutes. BSD Research
Administration Group supports about 4,000 faculty and staff employees through an
entire cycle of grant management.
We currently
have three opportunities:

Executive Director, Research strategy and administration - The
Executive Director of Research Strategy and Administration will be a part
of the BSD Dean’s Office. Reporting to the Assistant/Associate Dean of
Finance with a dotted line to the Vice Dean of Finance and Administration,
the incumbent will provide leadership and direction through managers in
pre-award and post-award services to support faculty, department
administrators, research staff as well as interfacing with the URA
(University Research Administration).

Sr Specialist, Gran & contract – Reporting to the Executive
Director of Research Administration and Strategy in BSD, the ideal
candidate will lead the BSD “SWAT” team to help BSD departments when they
need an experienced grant administrator, e.g., assisting a new large grant
application or providing an interim leadership in the grant management
office while the department is recruiting the next person. This person
will also provide training and mentoring services to the department grant
management office.

Specialist, Financial Administration for Sponsored Programs – The
ideal candidate may provide data analysis and research performance and
finance (KPI), produce periodic grant reporting (submission, award,
spending) and training materials, and collaborates with URA, BSD Finance
Compliance, and BSD departments for sponsored research projects and initiatives.

Administration is currently offering services through alternative work
