Yes it’s a real error and won’t move ahead. All key personnel need eRA Commons ID https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-21-109.html

Subject: [EXT] [RESADM-L] No ERA Commons ID in ASSIST
EXTERNAL MESSAGE - TREAT LINKS/FILES WITH CARE
Hive Mind -
I am trying to submit a proposal in ASSIST without an ERA Commons ID for one of the key personnel. The NIH policy makes it seem like a warning, but it is preventing submission. Has anyone had this happen or know a work-around?
Thanks,
Leah
