I had a similar problem when using the fillable PDF forms. It was a traumatic afternoon!

Try using the “print to PDF” process to save it as an uneditable PDF. Then upload that file instead. That was the only thing that worked for me in grants.gov. If research.gov accepts the forms, then that should solve the problem.

I hope that helps!

Hi Kelly,

I also ran into the same problem with the Biosketches when faculty were applying for the REU deadline in August.  The PDF of the proposal showed one biosketch 3 times and two were missing.  I didn’t trust that it would get to NSF correctly, so I had my faculty members move it all over to FastLane.  I tried working with the help desk, but it was not resolved.

Best,

Cindy

Has anyone had a glitch with Research.gov? I submitted an application in August and everything was uploaded and visible each time I reviewed the package. When I created a PDF of the package the biosketches were weird, some of the information was missing but some was there. I then went back and checked the package in Research.gov and it was there as it should be. So I hit submit and let the PI know that everything looked good online when I submitted the package but the PDF file had some issues with the biosketches. Well we received the feedback and the reviewers said that I did not include the biosketches (there were listed in the table of contents that is auto generated) and they also stated that the current & pending was missing (included in the PDF) and the dissemination plan was missing (included in the PDF).  Thankfully the reviewers had issues with our project but this looks BAD for my performance as a research administrator. I opened a ticket with the Research.gov help desk but has anyone had a similar issue before?
