Hi Pam,

Contracts, grants, proposals, MOUs, master agreements, etc. run through Research Services here as well. While they may not be the same instrument, they are treated the same in our systems, and are set up with account numbers the same as grants.

We do not have a separate contracting office.

Take care,

Bruxanne

Hi, everyone!

I’d like your input on the question of whether contracts should also be reviewed and approved through the sponsored programs office.  I know my opinion.  I’d like yours.

We occasionally have people tell us that they don’t need to go through our office because what they have is a contract not a grant, and/or that since it’s a contract and there is no proposal per se, we don’t need to review it.

PS.  Assume there is not a separate contracts office.

Thoughts?

Regards,

Pam
