It depends on the program.

CSG funding does not have a CFDA and isn’t reportable on SEFA.  CPB’s CSG 2009 Annual Financial Summary Report gives clarification regarding classifying the CSG funding as federal vs. private. https://isis.cpb.org/isis_help_files/frg_fy2009_reporting_section_6.htm.

However, CPB does have funding from the Department of Education that is considered federal and includes a CFDA number.

Hope this helps!

Good day, everyone!

If your institution receives  grant funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, do you classify it as Federal funding, or private, or public? They do receive funding from the government.

I’d appreciate any thoughts!

Thanks,

Pam

CPB is a private, nonprofit corporation created by Congress in the Public Broadcasting Act of 1967.Since 1968, CPB has been the steward of the federal government’s investment in public broadcasting and the largest single source of funding for public radio, television, and related online and mobile services.
