If you are planning to submit a proposal, CHS-SPO will continue to submit proposals while working remotely.  All new grant applications should go through the usual internal review process including routing through RAMS-SPOT.  Sponsors and federal agencies are aware of the current challenges and we will share additional guidance as it becomes available.

Please continue to send your post-award questions and requests to <xxxxxx@vcu.edu> so that CHS-SPO can continue to support your grants management activities.

Notify the CHS Sponsored Programs Office of your intent to submit a proposal using our new online form.

Good morning.

I’ve been asked if our institution is experiencing a dip in proposal submissions. As far as I can tell, we are not. In March, April and May of 2020 we were lower than previous years, but then in June we saw twice as many submissions as we had in the previous two years. This could be attributed to moving off campus in the early Spring and our office catching up on data entry by June. So far, July, August and September have not been much different than previous years.

What are the rest of you experiencing?

Thanks in advance and stay well!

Tom
