The Office of Sponsored Programs at the University of Arkansas is looking for an OSP Post Award Specialist.

Annual Salary: $43,217
Summary of Job Duties: The Post-Award Specialist within the Office of Sponsored Programs is responsible for the maintenance, analysis, interpretation, and management of financial accounting data. This
includes the preparation and posting of various journals, ledgers, and accounts, analysis of financial data, financial statements, and expenditure reports, and presentation of financial data. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP), state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, general business, or related field; plus three years of experience, including one year in a supervisory
capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
·
Intermediate proficiency and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
·
Experience with grants and contracts
·
Experience with the University of Arkansas systems
·
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
·
Demonstrated strong organizational skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
·
Knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting and GMP
·
Knowledge of financial statements and reports
·
Knowledge of accounting ledgers and journals
·
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer technology related to accounting systems
·
Clear communication skills using face-to-face contact, e-mail, telephone or other correspondence
·
Strong organizational skills
·
Ability to meet deadlines
·
Ability to develop and maintain manual or computerized accounting systems
·
Ability to interpret and apply provisions of laws, rules, or policies to specific situations
·
Ability to review and analyze financial information
·
Ability to analyze data and prepare financial statements and reports
·
Ability to maintain routine accounting data in appropriate ledgers and journals
·
Ability to provide guidance and technical assistance to agency/institution management and staff
