Subject: Re: [RESADM-L] NSF Biosketch
Hi All,
I have had a recent submission sent back almost immediately for including too many synergistic activities, we were asked to fix this and resubmit by the NSF. This occurred within 1 week of original submission.
I believe it would not have been reviewed if we had not corrected the synergistic activities.
It seems like this is very similar to what Teri’s PI is doing by including a link to all their publications. It might go through—but as the NSF notes only 10 publications will be considered by reviewers—or Teri’s
PI’s proposal might get kicked back, hopefully with the option to correct and still be considered.
I would recommend Teri advise the PI that the NSF only allows for the 10 publications, cite the language from the NSF and tell the PI that submissions have been rejected for including too much. Then you’ve done
your due diligence, the risk is only that it will get rejected on a technicality by the NSF which is on the PI.
Hope this helps!

Hi! Good Morning!
I suppose he can include the link, but it clearly states in the 2019 PAPPG on page II-15 under ( c) Products, “Only the list of ten will be used in the review of the proposal.”
So, there is really no point in including the link.

**External Email - Please verify sender email address before responding.**
Good Morning,
I have a general question about the NSF biosketch. The instructions clearly ask to limit to five (5) closely related and five (5) other significant products. I have a PI that does list those, but includes a link after appointments to
all his publications. I believe this a violation of the instructions and may be a problem.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thank you for your help.
Teri
