Subject: Colorado State University Job Announcement- Research Coordinator Position (Computer Science Department)

The Department of Computer Science (CS) at Colorado State University (CSU) invites applications for the Research Coordinator position beginning as soon as possible.  The Research Coordinator supports research groups in the Department of Computer Science by coordinating the management of grants and contracts from federal, state, and commercial sources. This person will be the lead representative for the department with the CSU Office of Sponsored Programs and other campus research support organizations and handle basic liaison with funding agencies. The high volume of varied and complex grant proposal submissions requires an employee who can work independently and has the level of expertise and judgement necessary to properly advise faculty members. This person will serve as the department expert on proposal opportunities, guidelines, and requirements. In FY18, CS researchers submitted proposals requesting $18 million in funding, $3 million in awards were granted.

The Department of Computer Science at CSU has over 800 undergraduate majors and 190 graduate students in our masters and Ph.D. programs. The department has 21 tenure-track faculty with strong research programs in artificial intelligence, big data, bioinformatics, computer vision, networks, parallel and distributed computing, algorithms, security, and software engineering.
