The Department of Computer Science (CS) at Colorado State University (CSU) invites applications for the Research Coordinator position beginning as soon as possible. The Research Coordinator supports research groups in the Department of
Computer Science by coordinating the management of grants and contracts from federal, state, and commercial sources. This person will be the lead representative for the department with the CSU Office of Sponsored Programs and other campus research support
organizations and handle basic liaison with funding agencies. The high volume of varied and complex grant proposal submissions requires an employee who can work independently and has the level of expertise and judgement necessary to properly advise faculty
members. This person will serve as the department expert on proposal opportunities, guidelines, and requirements. In FY18, CS researchers submitted proposals requesting $18 million in funding, $3 million in awards were granted.
The Department of Computer Science at CSU has over 800 undergraduate majors and 190 graduate students in our masters and Ph.D. programs. The department has 21 tenure-track faculty with strong research programs in artificial intelligence,
big data, bioinformatics, computer vision, networks, parallel and distributed computing, algorithms, security, and software engineering. More information is at

Required Job Qualifications: Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, sciences, communications, or a related field, and have at least one year of research project management experience.
Preferred Job Qualifications: Applicants are preferred who have a degree or post-bachelors degree certificate in Law or Contract/Research Administration or related field, experience creating budgets and budget justifications, knowledge of OMB Uniform
Guidance cost accounting guidelines, knowledge of Kuali Research proposal development system (KR), familiarity with the scientific research process, experience preparing and submitting scientific research proposals, demonstrated experience in providing excellent
customer service skills, working in a team environment, collaborative approach to work, and building effective professional relationships, strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
