The Georgia Institute of Technology is seeking a Training Specialist to join the research education team within the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) serving as a resource to faculty and staff at a research intensive institution supporting over $908 million in research expenditures and other sponsored activities.

 

Under the direction of the Research Education & Outreach Manager for OSP, the Training Specialist will interact on a consistent basis with faculty, staff, researchers and vendors.  Key responsibilities will include providing technical assistance to faculty and research administrators during proposal or report submission process, deliver and/or coordinate training availability and instruction utilizing multiple formats through targeted or campus-wide marketing efforts, and identify, develop and coordinate training plans/courses to meet the needs of both central and departmental research administrators.

 

Requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of job related experience, customer service and organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively prioritize and solve problems.  The successful candidate will need to have expertise in sponsored research administration including various proposal submission systems and experience with presenting instructional content and public speaking.
