Director of Grant Operations
The University of California – Office of the President is a system of 10 campuses, five medical centers, and three affiliated national laboratories. The Office of the President is the University’s headquarters
which supports campuses and students through system-wide funding and programs. It manages the University’s multi-billion dollar operations and investments. It oversees medical centers and national labs. The Office of the President coordinates activities
that allow a complex and unique system to operate efficiently as one university, furthering its public interest, academic, and research missions.
This position is part of the
Research Grants Program Office (RGPO) within Research and Graduate Studies (RGS), Division of Academic Affairs at the University of California, Office of the President. RGPO oversees a broad portfolio of research grant programs and funding streams
representing more than 500 active research grants totaling $348 million and over $110 million in annual grant awards. The RGPO consists of several granting programs that are administered by the University on behalf of the State of California and the UC system.
RGPO Grant Operations is organized into three shared service teams including: Budget and Accounting, Application Review, and Post-Award Administration.
We are looking for someone with:

Advanced degree in relevant area including public, business or non-profit administration, accounting, law or other related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience.

Experience in research administration and in negotiating and executing research contracts and agreements involving state and/or federal
funds.
·
Experience in public, government, foundation, or University research granting.
·
Experience in providing leadership and strategic direction regarding state of the art practices, policies, and systems to effectively support multi-year fund management and accurate
budget development and forecasting.
