The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), a unit within the division of Research and Innovation at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) provides pre-award, contract, post-award, and accounting services for the support
of faculty and other investigators while promoting compliance with federal, state and private sponsor agreements and UNTHSC research policies.
UNTHSC is seeking to hire an energetic, skilled and engaged professional with experience in post-award grant management services to join our Central Services team.
Posting Title: Sr. Post Award Analyst
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
* Interpret and apply state, federal and private sponsor systems, forms, and guidelines and UNTHSC policies and procedures.
* Initiate account and award setup in EIS/PeopleSoft upon receipt of Notice of Grant Award or executed contract.
* Work with Principal Investigators and Department Administrators on reconciling budgets for awards as well as coordinate and initiate Project Initiation Meeting (PIM).
* Review and approve requisitions, payroll forms, purchasing card transactions, travel vouchers as well as no cost extensions, budget revisions, and progress reports.
* Monitor effort commitments and changes throughout the life of the award.
* Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding award management to include budget concerns, account status, carry forward requests and subsequent years of funding.
* Address questions from faculty and department administrators regarding allowability of cost, how to complete forms, how to initiate payment of approved budget items, effort and salary cap.
* Work closely with Contracts team on initiating subawards/subcontracts.
* Send out 30/60/90 day notifications for close-out.
* Liaison between the Sponsor and PI/Department Administrator for items requiring prior sponsor approval via email, phone calls or sponsor electronic websites.
* Provide training as needed to PIs/Department Administrators.
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* CRA or working towards certification.
* In-depth knowledge of National Institutes of Justice/Department of Justice and National Institutes of Health systems, forms, and procedures.
