Hi Sona,

We had this same issue in a previous application.  If repeating information (i.e. one record across many studies), we had to upload a file that said “Per SF424 guidelines, please see the Overall Component.”.  Each file had to be named differently.

Please let me know if you have any other questions – such a waste of paper and resources to upload blank study records, but it is required for the validation if you select “yes” to HS.

Thanks!

Ali

Subject: [RESADM-L] Human subjects for NIH Multi-Projects

We are working on a multi-project application (U54) for NIH. One or more of the projects will have human subjects.  All of the NIH guides indicate to handle it as below.  However, we get errors of either duplicate or missing records.  Has anyone had this type of application before?

For multi-project applications with studies that are self-contained within a single component:

Overall Component: Do not complete a study record.

Other Component: Complete a separate study record for each human subjects study that is self-contained within a single component.

For multi-project applications with studies that span components:

Overall Component: Complete one study record for each study if it spans multiple components.

Best,

Sona
