We use the previous year FFY NRSA PGY 0 as our minimum post doc salary.
For fiscal year 2019 (July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019), the minimum will be $47,484. This is only the
minimum amount. Individual compensation should be discussed with the appointing faculty advisor. It is recommended that postdocs be reviewed annually and given raises as appropriate (see current
NIH NRSA Stipend Levels for guidance or contact the department / school administrator for information on compensation guidelines).

Subject: [RESADM-L] Salary Ranges for Postdocs
Good morning!
I am interested in any guidelines regarding salary ranges for postdocs that your institution may have or that you’ve encountered in working with NIH, NSF, or other agencies.
We’re familiar with the NIH’s NRSA stipend minimum amounts, but if you have any additional information on other institutions’ stances regarding appropriate compensation for postdocs – especially those that may be federally-funded – it would
be greatly appreciated.
I realize this may be dependent upon geographic region, postdoc experience, or a number of other factors. Any salient information would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
