At my previous institution, I did a lot of R15s, and we always instructed faculty to include this sort of information in their Facilities & Other Resources Document,
as the PA specifically asks for information related to undergraduate research and institutional support here. If this sort of commitment is implied in the research strategy through discussing how undergrads will be exposed to research I think it’s fine, but
I would concentrate my efforts in the Facilities Document.
Good luck!

Subject: [RESADM-L] Seeking Advice on R15
Hi all, and hope you had a great long weekend,
We are working with a PI who is seeking advice on where to discuss our institution's commitment to undergraduate research. Two of his colleagues addressed this in two different areas of their own applications - Facilities under Institutional
Support and in the Research Strategy section. Fortunately, both applications were successful. But the PI would like to know which would be more effective or appropriate. Any thoughts?
Thank you!
Best,
Pamela Tuffley
