Hello, Dr. Roth.
I would suggest that the budget meets the minimum per the guidelines. If it is under the budget limit, it could be considered non-compliant. I would suggest to
re-evaluate the project scope and budget.
Best wishes,

Subject: [RESADM-L] NSF CAREER Award
Hi all,
The RFP for the NSF Career award says that the expected project budgets will total
a minimum of $400,000 over 5 yrs. If I have a PI whose budget is significantly under that, is that a red flag? Should I have him revisit the project scope and budget?
Thanks,
