= = = = = =We use total award of the document. Sometimes the award amount is just one year…sometimes it is the full amount. Amount depends upon the sponsor.
If we receive a multi-year award from a sponsor and the award amount is $10,000 for year 1 and additional years budgets are “to be awarded,” we would “count” the $10,000 we have been awarded.

there was a discussion a few weeks ago about award date or project start date for reporting purposes. I would like to hear what other universities are doing when recording the award amount in fiscal years. Total award over the entire project period or the current fiscal year's allotment?
