Responsibilities:

The role of the Research Grant Program Officer 3 is to provide administrative leadership to the UC Davis 'research node' of the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN), overseeing the organizational plan, participating in strategic planning, tracking and facilitating progress toward achievement of stated goals and supervising development and implementation of PECARN research in the node.

Required Qualifications:

· -Demonstrated ability to lead a team, managing recruitment of qualified personnel, personnel performance and staff development.

· -Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, to organize time and work appropriately to meet deadlines, set appropriate priorities and maintain multiple ongoing projects.

· -Experience in clinical research administration.

· -Demonstrated knowledge of regulations guiding human subject research and clinical trials.

· -Knowledge of rules and regulations of extramural funding, accounting principles and practices, financial planning and analysis, budget development for research proposal generation.

· -Demonstrated ability to manage a program, including articulating program mission, developing strategies to move the program forward, gathering information and evaluating program performance, developing and implementing policies to ensure successful conduct of research.

· -Demonstrated knowledge of research methodologies used in clinical research, public health, emergency medicine or epidemiology.
