Our institution (Georgia Tech) provides tuition reimbursement in excess of the state’s tuition assistance program; provided by the University System of Georgia.  Full-time employees who have been employed for over 12 months can receive reimbursement for the Master’s program but not for a certificate. There are specific guidelines in terms of eligibility and the number of hours that can be reimbursed per semester.

STRAP at Georgia Tech (taken from our website)

The Staff Tuition Reimbursement Assistance Program (STRAP) is an educational assistance program that provides partial tuition reimbursement for classified Georgia Tech employees at any accredited private Institution. Excluded coursework includes HVAC certification (only core courses are covered: math, computer science, etc., are eligible). Technical courses, medical designations (doctor, dentist, veterinarian, etc.), and law are excluded. Non-credit continuing education, certificate, and executive/premier programs are also ineligible.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Tuition Reimbursement

Good afternoon,

I am interested in knowing if you are employed in higher education, will your institution pay for tuition for Graduate Certificate in Research Administration or Masters Research Administration if not offered at your institution or in your state reimbursement system?

Best,

Latica
