Subject: [RESADM-L] salary cap question

Hi,

In the following scenario, how much salary can you request from NIH?

·         PI has a 12 month appointment

·         PI is 0.5 FTE

·         PI’s base salary is $150,000

·         PI has 10% effort on project

If the salary cap is broken down into an hourly rate, this person exceeds the cap.

There are examples here for different appointment types but not different FTEs.  I may be overthinking this.

Thanks,

Carla
