Senior Research Administrator

Rhode Island Hospital/Lifespan

Grants and Contracts, Office of Research Administration

 

 

The Senior Research Administrator, under the general direction of the Administrative Manager(s), Grants & Contracts, is mainly responsible for the direction of the administrative and fiscal aspects of sponsored projects.  Includes management of grant applications (federal and private foundations) and post-award management.  The goal is to enhance the environment for clinical research, clinical service, basic biomedical research, and training without compromising the position of the institution.  Collaborates with Administrative Manager(s) and Director in the development, updating and communication of Hospital and grants management policies and procedures.  May have multi-campus responsibilities.  There may be some local travel.

 

Requires a Baccalaureate Degree (preferably in finance and accounting practices) and at least five years of progressively more responsible experience in the field of research administration.
