- Negotiates and finalizes terms and conditions of agreements in a timely manner and in a manner designed to protect LUC and LUC Faculty in the following major areas: a) intellectual property (IP) rights and ownership; b) liability (damages, injury and indemnification) and insurance; c) publication; d) warranty; e) infringement at a minimum.
- Secures approval of LUC legal, finance and risk management departments to finalize any contract terms outside of established guidelines and templates.
- Fosters and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with corporate biomedical and healthcare sponsors; providing high quality and timely service to LUC faculty and external sponsors
- Negotiates any extensions of existing contracts or agreements.
- Assists in the development of contract administration and/or tech transfer related policies and procedures in an effort to assist in the creation of a robust portfolio
- Performs other duties as required.  
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Paralegal Certificate required. At least (3) years of contract review and negotiation experience with at least two (2) years in an academic setting / tech transfer support role preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
 
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.  
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Paralegal Certificate required.

-Two (2) to Four (4) years of contract negotiation experience with health related industry contracts and non-industry grants and contracts, with enhanced specialization in federal agreements.


- Must be a skilled negotiator with a track record of success.
- Must have working knowledge of relevant laws, intellectual property, indemnity
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to write clearly and informatively.
- Ability to meet challenges with resourcefulness.
- Ability to develop innovative approaches and ideas.
- Must exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
- Ability to support and explain reasoning for decisions.
