Seattle Children’s Research Institute’s (SCRI) Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) is looking for an exceptional candidate
to join an experienced team that serves as the primary point of contact between SCRI, its sponsors and subrecipients, ensuring that all administrative requirements associated with the submission of applications, acceptance and conduct of awards, and issuance
and monitoring of subawards are met. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for:

Grants Management. Responsible for providing grant management and administrative/fiscal support to Principal Investigators who are recipients of research grants, sub
awards and internally funded projects.

Contract/Award Review, Negotiation and Processing. Review and negotiate all master agreements and awards providing funding or other support for research, ensuring
they are wholly consistent with the requirements of Children’s policy, relevant sponsor policies, and all applicable state and federal laws. Assist and provide direction in the entire contracting process for contracts, including budget negotiation and contract
finalization.

Subcontract Development and Monitoring. Oversee development of subcontracts and all required subrecipient monitoring associated with Children’s obligations as a flow-through
entity under OMB Circular A-133.

Application/Protocol Review and Submission. Review subrecipient applications and prime awards to Children’s, drafting and negotiating subrecipient agreements in compliance
with all applicable policies and regulations.

Pre-Award Communication with Sponsors. Serve as the primary point of contact between Seattle Children’s Research Institute, its sponsors and sub-recipients, ensuring
that all administrative requirements associated with the submission of applications, acceptance and conduct of awards, and issuance and monitoring of sub-awards are met.

Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Work individually, collectively with the OSR team and on cross-functional teams across SCRI to implement CPI (or LEAN) methodology
to develop, standardize, improve and document work processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
This posting is for a position that will be either a Sponsored Projects Officer II or III contingent upon the final
candidate's qualifications and position needs.
Sponsored Projects Office II Minimum education/experience requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years pre-award experience within the grants and contracts arena.
Sponsored Projects Officer III Minimum education/experience requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years pre-award experience within the grants and contracts arena, and/or contracting experience,
with emphasis in language/contract term review and recommendations.
Preferred Education/Experience:
-Certified Research Administrator
-Experience with the administration of awards from National Institute of Health and/or federal grants.
-Experience with private foundation grants and awards.
