Director, Research Integrated Support and Administration
Sutter Health invites applications and nominations for the position of Director, Research Integrated Support and Administration.
Serving patients and their families in more than 100 Northern California cities and towns,
Sutter Health doctors, not-for-profit hospitals, and other health care service providers share resources and expertise to advance health care quality and access. Sutter Health includes medical foundations, outpatient
facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, residency and fellowship programs, home health and hospice services, philanthropic foundations, and an HMO health plan.
Sutter’s research commitment includes more than 700 sponsored research studies, which span basic, translational and applied research and are conducted across multiple sites including the
California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute
& RCT Consortiums, The Jordan Research & Education Institute,
Palo Alto Medical Foundation Research Institute,
Sutter Gould Medical Foundation Research and
Sutter Institute for Medical Research.
The Director of RISA is a new and critical role, in an exciting time, dealing with transformational challenges at Sutter Health. Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Research Officer, the Director will be
a key leader and will be responsible for developing and overseeing the RISA management team’s day-to-day operations, setting goals and objectives, and ensuring high-quality, efficient research administration and related support services.
Sutter seeks an effective and resourceful leader with at least ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience in research administration, compliance, and/or human subject’s protection as
well as strong knowledge and understanding of federal grants and federal guidelines and broad and comprehensive knowledge in managing grants and contracts. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of experience required. A Master’s degree
is strongly preferred.
