Hello Everyone,

I am trying to connect with other hospital research administrators that follow 45 CFR Part 74 Appendix E.

We are looking to streamline our time and effort reporting process now that we have KRONOS timekeeping system. Hourly employees would use the time keeping system as their official time and effort report as well as to document their actual hours worked.

For salaried employees, they would follow a similar process (entering their time in KRONOS) but we are considering how to best account for their effort as often salaried employees and professional staff exceed their FTE schedule. We were thinking some after the fact time and effort reporting would need to be done with this group but don’t want to add any unnecessary layers.

Also, we are looking for best practices for physician compensation as physicians’ pay often exceeds the Executive Level II salary cap. If anyone has resources or advice on these issues (or policies, training materials to share), please email me at xxxxxx@multicare.org.

Thank you,

Angela
