The University of South Alabama Mitchell Cancer Institute (USAMCI) provides exceptional patient care to oncology and hematology patients through innovative treatments and
also by providing both clinical and basic cancer research. The clinics and patient care areas are managed by the USA HealthCare Management, LLC. USAMCI is in the process of developing a consortium partnership with UAB in Birmingham, which will lead to NCI
Designated Consortium Comprehensive Cancer Center status by 2020. |
Essential Functions:

The University of South Alabama Mitchell Cancer Institute (USAMCI) seeks qualified candidates for the position of Associate Director, MCI Operations and Finance (ADOF).
This senior-level executive leadership and management position is responsible to the USAMCI Director for all administrative, supervisory and oversight functions essential to the smooth and efficient operation and financial health of the USAMCI. The ADOF's
clinical administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to, all of those enumerated in the 2011 ACCC Cancer Program Administrator Survey Tables 1-4. Furthermore, the ADOF is charged with the operational and financial integration and synergy of
all the oncology clinical services with the basic/translational and clinical research, prevention/control, outreach and business development programs of the Institute. Additionally, the ADOF participates and provides leadership in the strategic planning,
implementation and growth of all USAMCI programs essential for the Institute to achieve future NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center designation via the consortium partnership. |
Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and ten years of responsible experience in oncology operations
and financial management in a complex organization. Experience with an NIH/NCI P30 GSSG supported cancer center is required. A master's or doctoral degree in Health Administration or Business Administration is preferred. Successful grant writing and grant
