The following position is available at Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland on the beautiful Eastern Shore.
Contract and Grant Specialist -
Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Contract and Grant Specialist.
Primary Job Duties: Coordinate financial activities for Graduate Studies and Research through pre and post audit processes and post award grant and contract management. This position will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, prepare reports
and budgets, monitor and approve transactions, as well as planning and development of grants and contracts, processes, problem solving, and technical assistance. Have a working knowledge and understand federal, state and local policies governing the sponsored
program under the various cost principles A-21, A110, audit requirements under A133, and policy and procedures or Salisbury University, University System of Maryland and State of Maryland.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 3 – 5 years related experience (or equivalency of Associates degree with 5 – 7 years related experience or High School diploma and 7-9 years of related experience).
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Demonstrated ability to understand grant terms and conditions and communicate these to other program staff. Guide individuals through the grant life cycle; ie: when reports are due, information needed, how to gather
required information, allowable expenses and federal regulations. Demonstrated ability to work well with unpredictable deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
This is a full-time, exempt, state position with a competitive benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
