Hi Theresa,
This link will take you to an illuminating write up about the impact of the shut down on various types of USG websites; your note arrived as I was reading
it. It also links to the White House memo providing guidance on different types of sites:
White
House guidance calls for government websites to be switched off during a shutdown unless they’re connected with excepted activities, such as protecting national security or federal property. In those cases, the sites should be “maintained at
the lowest possible level” to protect security and functionality. Non-excepted sites should be switched off even if it will cost more to start them back up after the shutdown is over than to turn them off in the first place, the guidance states.
With kind regards, Madison

When the next or when the previous deadline was? And I apologize that I do not know...
I can't understand why agencies are taking their entire sites offline. Most are just putting up a warning about lack of updating, but removing the entire site seems unwarranted.

Thanks to all who helped. Yes, Sept. 30 was the end of the window.
Once again, you came through for a colleague. Now if we could just get Congress to be as collaborative as research administrators are....

I just had a query from a faculty member wondering when the next target date for NSF chemistry (organic chemical synthesis) proposals will be. I do not have all the program deadlines and target dates committed to memory, so I am of no help to him. Anyone happen to know when this will be?
Tks.
