Subject: [RESADM-L] Tracking Compliance on Institutional Training Grants

I am looking to hear how other institutions track compliance approvals (IRB, IACUC, etc.) for trainees who are supported by institutional training grants.  Do you require that trainees disclose any human subject or animal subject work and then verify all approvals are in place prior to appointing the trainee to the grant?  Do you wait and verify compliance at progress report time?  Or is the trainee’s mentor solely responsible for ensuring compliance?  Other procedures?

Thanks for your input!
