Ohio University has a formal model for distribution.  If multiple units are involved then the same formula applies, but  distribution is proportionate to the effort of each PI on the project OR we would accept an alternative distribution if all parties agreed. Here is our formula: http://www.ohio.edu/orsp/FA_FY2010_Distribution.html

Subject: [RESADM-L] F&A Distribution between units

Good afternoon,

For those who distribute recovered F&A back to colleges, when a proposal is submitted by more than one college do you have a guidance document to assist Deans, etc. in determining how to share the F&A? Or do you have a standard policy?

Thank you.

Feel free to respond to me directly at xxxxxx@uccs.edu.  I will compile responses for the list.

Hope everyone is enjoying the remainder of the summer.

-gwen
