is seeking a Director of Grant Services. The Director has responsibility for the daily management and operations of pre- and post-award grant services for all IU campuses except IUPUI. These operations include oversight of the review and submission of proposals
and other sponsored agreements, negotiation and acceptance of grant awards and contracts, monitoring grant and contract financial accounts, and closing of grant and contract accounts.
Working with ORA staff and management, the Director develops and implements business improvements, new compliance measures, and new university policies and procedures on grant administration. The Director represents IU to external constituencies such as funding
agencies, subcontractors, and auditors; additionally s/he works with, advices, and communicates with IU chancellors, deans, chairs, faculty and administrators on issues related to grant administration. The Director is responsible for ensuring that the Grant
Services office provides knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and timely support to faculty and university staff. The position is also responsible for safeguarding Indiana University interests by assuring compliance with various Federal and State regulations
and laws, as well as University policies associated with sponsored programs.

Qualifications:
Must have a Masters degree and a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in the field of sponsored research administration in a university or a research organization. Must be able to demonstrate
significant supervisory experience.

988 awards for $197 million. There are approximately 1,500 active grant accounts on the IUB and regional campuses.
