Question on fringe benefits paid on a grant.
If a grant proposal is awarded to receive 28% fringe – but HR calculates the faculty members actual fringe to be 20% do we charge the grant the 28% we were awarded or the 20% actual fringe? Based on the health plan, etc. the employee chooses the fringe rate varies.
