Hi Maryellen,

This is going to become a great discussion.

Maybe everybody already knows this, but applying the Pareto principle (20% effort yield 80% of results) is useful in time management.

My best productivity tip is to answer the phone or email in the morning until I have done a solid block of real work.

Another thing I have learned, but rarely practice is many assigned tasks can be left undone. Or done with a C- level effort.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I'm trying to pull together a session on time management with an emphasis on practical techniques for busy people juggling multiple, conflicting priorities.  I'd greatly appreciate it if you could recommend a book or even a specific tool/technique that works for you.  It might be something as simple as, closing the office door or a special feature in Outlook.  If you can estimate how much time you save using your tool, that's even better.

Thanks for your help,
Maryellen
