Hi All,

We have Chinese visiting students (on J-1 visa) who plan to be at our Law School this summer and will be receiving stipends. We need advice on how your institution deals with helping students apply for ITIN and file the tax returns. Do you have them apply for ITIN ahead of time while they are in their home country? What is your institution's procedure on this?
