We have had interest in specific differences between research proposals and program proposals (or research/program proposals). Many junior researchers will need or want to develop programs and write program proposals and know very little about them.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Seeking examples of grant workshop topics

Hi all,

We’re planning a half-day-with-lunch of informational sessions primarily for junior faculty, with emphasis on biomed and life sciences.    The usual topics come to mind:

·         resources on funding opportunities;

·         explanations of the application and review process from insiders;

·         words of wisdom from successful applicants;

·         how and when to work with our Foundation, SRO, and post-award people;

·         possibly concurrent sessions on specialized topics like clinical trials, intellectual property, …

But maybe I’m missing some great possibilities! I would very much like to hear of variations that have worked on your campus.   All responses welcome!

Thanks,

Rick
