Hello all  - thank you very much to all of you who responded to my questions regarding who writes grants – grant writer or program manager.  Your thoughts were very insightful.  I have another question along the same lines as my prior question.  In your experience – for those programs that are social service type programs or community outreach programs where do the grant writers or managers tend to report in your organization?

Do they report to the central grants office or do they report to the area in where they are working on grants?  Currently our grant writer who works on HRSA type grants that support community outreach programs, report to the central grants office.  Please let me know your thoughts at your earliest convenience.
