Colleagues,

As the Editor of the Journal of Research Administration, I occasionally like to extend a special call for the submission of candidate manuscripts for publication. It has been a quite a while since my last call. This special time of year seems the appropriate moment to make a new invitation to all of our colleagues around the world.

JRA is published by the Society of Research Administrators International twice yearly. Its readership is global. We welcome manuscripts from all.

JRA is an international, nationally awarded/recognized academic and professional publication for research leadership, administration, and management. In addition to members of the profession, it affords enrichment for researchers in all disciplines, scientists, and academic leaders in all types of agencies and institutions world-wide.

JRA publishes intellectually high powered articles, book reviews, and critical reflections from any and all of the academic and professional arts and sciences that are foundational to research leadership and administration. As an art and science itself, research administration is critically important for the increasing internationalization of research today in service of social progress and human advancement. JRA appeals to all areas of research administration, for example: healthcare/medical, the social sciences, the arts and humanities, management and business administration, knowledge science and information technologies, ethics leadership, human resources, continuing education and professional development etc.

JRA is a powerful resource for universities and other institutions of higher learning, research institutions, hospitals and clinics, academic medical centers, governmental agencies, international agencies of renown, non-profits, academies, societies, and other organizations directly or indirectly related to research.  JRA is indexed. Its benefit keeps increasing exponentially; and it has become a singular academic resource for the continuing education of the profession and its related peers.

The current Author Guidelines and a sample template can be found on the Journal website at:

With a national award in 2008, JRA has advanced as a prize-winning academic and professional publication of the highest level with deep and broad international interest and acclaim. Without question, this comes from the firm commitment of our over 70 pro bono members of the Journal Editorial Board who provide the highest quality of academic and professional peer review, mission assessment, editing, and publication discernment.

Whether you are a researcher or a research administrator today or not, your contributions to the art, theory, practice, and science of research leadership are enthusiastically welcomed.

Consider submitting today. It may be something you may thank yourself for! We certainly will!

If you have any questions, contact me at my time.

With thanks at this special season,

Dr. Edward F. Gabriele
