Boise State University invites interested applicants for the position of Manager, Sponsored Projects Cost Accounting, to become a part of our team to continue our quest toward becoming a Metropolitan Research University of Distinction. 

This position will be responsible for:

• Preparing the Facilities & Administrative Cost rate proposal, the NSF survey and the DS-2 statement.
• Providing expert guidance to faculty and campus financial administrators relating to development and administration of recharge centers, including rate structures.  Independently review and approve recharge center proposals and perform annual audit of rate usage. 
• Collaborating with the Division of Finance and Administration on fiscal year end financial statement preparation.
• Serving as a liaison to external auditors on Single Audit and coordinating other audits as needed.
• Representing OSP at meetings or on committees within the University and at professional meetings.
• Supervising a staff of sponsored project administrators and overseeing day-to-day fiscal management of sponsored projects.

At a minimum you should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration,  or equivalent professional experience
• Seven year experience in the same type of position including experience in applying cost accounting standards in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

The preferred candidate will have:

• Experience in fiscal management of sponsored projects at an institution of higher education
• Experience with State of Idaho’s policies, regulations, and administrative practices
• Experience supervising a staff of three or more employees
