We did too. I didn’t do anything. According to the
instructions, you are supposed to put the full budget in Year 1. Since you used
detailed budget as we did, the direct costs exceed the $300,000 because (I assume)
like ours, our consortium’s costs have to be shown in total on our detailed
budget unlike modular which has a section to pull out consortium indirects. I
wouldn’t worry about it.
The only thing is we left our consortium’s budget in multi-year
as it doesn’t say that the consortium detailed budget needs to be all in Year 1
and I wanted to be able to show that we are still within the $300,000 limit.

Submitted an R15 yesterday. I put all the $ in the first
period on the R&R form. Received warnings related to budget saying we
were over the $300,000 limit. Our direct costs are under $300,000 as are
the collaborators. The warnings say Applications that exceed the limit
may be delayed in the peer review process or rejected.
Has anyone else received this warning and if so how did you
resolve it?

We just submitted an AREA grant with the new funding limit of
$300,000 which requires the R&R Budget Form. We received the warning that
the budget should be submitted in the first year only. Is this an error because
of the change in the amount of funding or should I combine all three years into
one budget period? Strangely, none of the e-mails referenced the warning, but
it is viewable if we log into Commons.
Thanks for the help!
