We code them as federal pass throughs.

Our institution is trying to clarify sponsors more clearly for reporting. How do you tag the funding source type for awards received from any of the federal labs (such as Argonne National Lab, Lawrence Livermore, Oak Ridge, etc.)? As direct federal or as federal pass through or do you us a separate code for them?
