I agree.  If you do not submit - you become the obstacle to promoting and supporting research.  If you submit and they are not funded, perhaps it will be a learning experience?  Stay positive!

As irritating as this stuff is, that’s your job.  They learn from their failure with the sponsor’s review not your potential castigation.  Unless you were submitting a couple of dozen other proposals, you send it in.

Hello all,

 

How would you have handled getting an ARRA application that came in around 10 PM last night without all of the components (e.g. no budget, biosketch, or collaborators info)? Would you have tried to usurp the grant clearance process and have moved heaven and earth to submit by 5?
