Canadair is a type of aircraft, similar
to a Boeing 737 or Airbus 320, commonly referred to as CRJ and are the
aircraft brand name for Bombardier . Canadair regional jets are the
main aircraft flown by Comair (I have a friend who works for Delta who
provide me the info)
An issue we sometimes run into is codeshare
flights. We buy a ticket thru United however the flight is on an
international carrier. example a flight from Denver to Toronto Canada
is usually operated by Air Canada however the ticket is purchased thru
United which is a US Carrier. We make sure that we purchase the ticket
thru the US carrier and not thru the international carrier
Thanks!

If your ticket says "Delta"
one would think that would be acceptable.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Fly America Act
Fellow Research Administrators,
I have a situation where a researcher
on a federal grant flew to Hong Kong. A few of the flights were “Delta”
operated by “Comair” however the planes were Canadair. Does this
conflict with the Fly America Act? We are having a debate here in
our office. I would greatly appreciate any insight.
Thank you very much
