Thank you everyone:
After several calls and responses from colleagues responding to
this message, we have resolved our issues. I am not sure we can say
we like the new revised version of the status venue, but we are working with
it.
As Vicki indicates below, the General search works better.
Keep in mind however, that we were instructed by the NIH help desk that you
actually have to delete the dates by using the delete button rather than just
tabbing or spacing. You will not get all of your proposal information if
you leave specific dates in the fields for some reason.
Thanks again, for all your help. Brenda

Subject: Re: [RESADM-L] NIH Updates---FEEDBACK!!!
I had similar frustrations on
Friday when the new status format was available – after e-mailing and
calling the eCommons help desk, they recommended that I clear out the dates
that the system automatically put in and that seemed to help. For some reason,
though, you have to type in “AN” or GRANT” at the beginning
of the number for anything to show up. The general search seems to work a bit
better.
In reference to your second
comment, did you refuse the version you submitted initially, and then tried to
submit a changed/corrected? If you passed your 48 hours without refusing it,
then it’s in the system and on to referral and review and too late to
make any changes.
Or did you mean something else?
Vicki

Subject: Re: [RESADM-L] NIH Updates---FEEDBACK!!!
Colleagues:
Has anyone tried using the new Grants.gov Status Function in
eCommons when tracking their Grants.gov applications. ID: Checking
for errors, etc. We are having problems even getting information out of
the new “set up”. Any feedback on this would be
helpful?
Also, we are being told by the NIH help desk individual that we
cannot edit an application that is still within the 5 business days and the
deadline is not until the 5th? Anyone have issues like this?
Thanks for your help in advance….Brenda
