Diane, et al,

To those of you who responded to my question last week about the NSF font requirements, I never did resolve the question. What I ended up doing was submitting the narrative and all attachments that I prepared in the required font and font size.  For figures and tables, I set them up in Arial, but allowed them to appear in whatever font size resulted when I cut and pasted.  Perhaps I'll get some feedback from NSF when they provide the reviewers' comments!

Vitas, letters of support were included as I received them.

I have an additional question. Do all the supplemental documents have to adhere to these new font requirements? We’re thinking of bio sketches, current + pending support, and attachments.

Subject: [RESADM-L] NSF fonts - again

We had a rash of discussion not too long ago about NSF's policy change on allowable fonts and required font size.  I've checked the GPG, but can't find any guidance on tables and figures.

Are we to assume that tables and figures must also be in approved fonts and sizes?  In some cases, a table or figure might be composed in one software (i.e., Excel or PowerPoint) and then pasted into the proposal narrative as a picture.  The resulting font size may be changed as the size of the picture is adjusted.  Or non-approved fonts might be used as part of a diagram or table.  Do we need to be sure that we enlarge the picture to result in 10 point or greater font size and redo the inserted item using an acceptable font?

Anyone have any insight on this?
