Hi All:

TGIF.  This is a note with an option similar to Nate's below.  It's the option I use to get an outline of recent activity on the RESADM-L LISTSERV, sent to me either daily or when volume reaches 23 messages before the end of the day (see attached examples).  This way I get an index of activity instead of each message arriving individually or via the digest version described by Nate.

To establish this option, just send an e-mail to xxxxxx@HRINET.ORG <xxxxxx@hrinet.org> with only the subject line SET RESADM-L INDEX.  The request will work best if you leave the message blank.  You'll receive a note back in response to your request.
To read messages that apply to interests and needs, simply browse to HRINET.ORG, click on LISTERVS, and search via date and table of contents for those messages.  RESADM-L keeps an accessible archive that is quite useful and easy to search.

'Hope this is helpful to some of you!  Take care.

Thanks and bon weekend,

A tool that I have found very handy in dealing with large volume listservs such as this one is the digest delivery option.  I get one email message each day from RESADM (well, actually, from xxxxxx@hrinet.orgto be precise) which includes all of that day's messages as attached email messages.  I include the following instructions for the benefit of anyone else who may also prefer this option but not yet be aware of it.

To receive the digest version of the RESADM messages each day, send this text "SET RESADM-L DIGEST" to xxxxxx@HRINET.ORG.  For the truly nerdy among us, you can get the full list of listserv commands by sending "INFO REFCARD" to the same address; armed with the resulting information, you can control HTML and MIME settings, conceal your subscription status from the list, temporarily turn off delivery while on vacation, and discover all manner of exciting arcana.

A good evening to all,

Nate
